The national response to HIV and AIDS is guided by strategic plans which are periodically monitored and evaluated . There are several systems, tools and techniques being used to monitor and evaluate the national response to HIV and AIDS, these include researches and progress review of planned activities of AIDS services organizations. These are then communicated to the implementers and the public to enable implementation of evidence based approaches in the national response to HIV and AIDS.
Some of the tools being used to communicate progress in the national response to HIV and AIDS are;

• Newsletter
• Research documents
