Position: Technical Coordinator
Station: Head Office
Key Functions
- Provide linkages for planning and coordinating biomedical HIV & AIDS as well as other related interventions with the Ministry of Health and Child Care
- Support integration and linkages for various priority program areas
- Capacity development of internal structures, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to support/adopt bio-medical interventions for key programmes
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Ministry of Health and Child Care, partner organisations and other stakeholders in the development of bio-medical interventions.
- Provide technical assistance on the collaboration between the multi-sectoral and health sector response to HIV and AIDS.
- Participate in and support the development of relevant policies, guidelines and strategies
- Participate in technical working groups on biomedical responses
- Advise on and support the inclusion of key indicators in the various biomedical programmes
- Review and make recommendations on NAC support for support for key programmes
- Carry out resource mobilization to address identified priority gaps
- Produce periodic reports on biomedical and Health sector response programmes supported by NAC
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Medicine Degree
- Post graduate qualification in public health
- At least 5 years working experience in HIV and AIDS response or related field
- Any other additional relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage
